Slightly inconsistent but very capable on her day. Won well at Chester two starts ago before running below par last time out at Goodwood.. Return to this extended six furlongs to her advantage and capable of going close.

Much better form on fast ground and unlikely to meet those conditions here. Tends to be inconsistent exemplified by finishing last of six at Epsom on latest start. Not without a chance but others preferred.

Generally a consistent gelding who is slowly slipping down the handicap. Not beaten too far over 7f last time at Newmarket and this contest looks easier and he will enjoy an easy surface. Interesting contender.

Patchy form overall. Won a weak Leicester maiden before being found out in handicap company last time at Newbury. Probably one of the weaker betting propositions in the field.

Has generally been progressive (aside from one race over 7f) since joining Archie Watson winning three of her six starts. More needed here but look on the upgrade and one to consider.

Forecasts

Cool Reflection (2/1), Pass The Gin (3/1), Motagally (7/2), Alicia Darcy (9/2), Gambon (5/1)

Verdict

A chance is given to the gelding MOTAGALLY who has been running with credit throughout his career but still only has one win to his name. As a consequence his handicap mark has slipped and showed his well being when running well at Newmarket recently despite suffering a bad bump at the start. Alicia Darcy is a progressive type who won three times on the bounce this summer. Expect her to give the selection most to do. Any drying of the expected easy surface would enhance the chances of Cool Reflection while Pass The Gin is not out of this contest on the best of his form. An interesting little contest.
  1. Motagally
  2. Alicia Darcy
  3. Pass The Gin
