Mid 130's rated over timber and made winning start in this sphere by landing four-runner Cartmel race last month over 2m5f on soft going. Capable of better still and in the mix.
Easy winner on chase debut at Ffos Las (2m3½f, good) in June and was clear and bidding for follow up Southwell (3m, good) since before stumbling bad. Almost rallied to win, big chance here.
Three-time winner over hurdles, found improvement to make winning chase debut at this venue (2m4f, good) in June. Behind Le Musee since at Ffos Las and may be again here.
0-10 since going chasing, though has threatened on more than one occasion. Not so last time at Newton Abbot (3m2f) and needs to put that tame run behind him.
Patchy record in point-to-points, though did win twice in that sphere in the spring. Failed to complete twice more recently and hard to enthuse about on rules bow.
Decent over timber, can have his own ideas at times. Went well for a long way on chase bow at Stratford last month over 2m6½f but tossed in the towel following a mistake at the business end. Cheekpieces added here.
Forecasts
Potterman (6/4), Le Musee (5/2), Canton Prince (7/2), Serosevsky (5/1), Definately Vinnie (50/1), Milberry (150/1), American Craftsman (200/1)
Bar a momentum-halting stumble at the third last LE MUSEE likely would have made it 2-2 over fences at Southwell last month. He was still beaten less then 2L and should atone for that setback now. He holds Potterman on previous form, while Cartmel winner Canton Prince could emerge as the main danger.
