Knocking on the door in three starts over fences this summer over 2m4f/2m7f, twice around here. Will get there soon enough, once he irons out the jumping technique.
Has won 2-4 starts this season, both over this sort of trip. Runner-up at Stratford in July (2m6½f, good) when last spotted and should get involved down in distance from 2lb higher mark.
Finally opened his account (1-16) when gamely landing Uttoxeter novice handicap chase (2m4f, good) in July. Confidence boosted, though he was behind Between The Waters penultimate start.
Just 1-14 over fences, most recently scoring in June last year at Stratford. Has shaped with promise both starts since joining this trainer and should give his running, though still clear of previous win-mark.
3-27 record over fences, despite not being the most fluent jumper. Winner at Ffos Las in April (2m3½f, good), wasn't in the same form at Southwell last month over 3m. All three wins around this trip.
Much-improved when scoring over C&D in May on second start back, has failed to complete in 2-3 runs since however and comes with risks attached.
Two-time hurdles winner with a patchy profile, tailed off on chase debut at Stratford novices' handicap chase early last month. Strong in the betting for that outing. Sports new cheekpieces this evening.
Ran his best race of three for this stable over 2m at Southwell last month, finishing just over 8L fifth of nine. No win since 2017 but on a fair mark if building on that recent effort.
Had been second four times in seven starts this year (including over C&D) prior to last month's 2m5f Newton Abbott success, eventually forging 8L clear. Is 7lb higher here but promising jockey booking.

Forecasts
Gentleman Moore (10/3), Shoal Bay (4/1), Danboru (4/1), Robin Des People (11/2), Mahlers Star (8/1), Sunnytahliateigan (10/1), Alf 'n' Dor (10/1), Gold Mountain (11/1), Between The Waters (12/1), Cillian's Well (14/1)
A decent event and one in which GENTLEMAN MOORE is selected to build on his Newton Abbot success last time. He's already got C&D form in the book and benefits from the booking of Nico De Boinville this evening. Between The Waters, Danboru and Mahlers Star all need respecting while Shoal Bay will soon be winning over fences once his jumping technique comes good.
- Gentleman Moore
- Danboru
- Between The Waters
