Fairly useful over hurdles he probably exceeded his level of form in that sphere when given his chasing debut at Market Rasen over this trip recently. Looked to know his job taking the runner-up slot behind one from a stable in rude health.

On a long losing run although he appeared to get back on track when making his stable debut in June at Fontwell. Still to win over fences though (0-11) despite jumping well; has to enter the equation although the losing run is off putting.

Failed to fire on his chasing debut after a break (well below his hurdles form); made mistakes, finished well behind Asylo. The lowest rated of these he comes into this with work to do at the weights and on form; needs a major step forward.

Hit a purple patch for this yard last summer/autumn winning over timber on four occasions rising quickly in the handicap. Returned for his chasing debut after eight months off recently (better for the run); likely improver.

Asylo (1/1), Notnow Seamus (9/4), De Plotting Shed (5/1), Mellow Ben (6/1)

Verdict

A tricky little four runner event with possible improvement remaining in three of the four runners but it may be a day to side with experience and despite being on a fair losing run DE PLOTTING SHED is taken to get back to winning ways. He bumped into smart one at Fontwell on his debut for the Suzi Best yard and despite not looking the most resolute at times he’s still a dangerous customer. Mellow Ben has a fair task on his hands to turn around Market Rasen form with Asylo who rates the main danger. Notnow Seamus is rated the best of these and he won’t be far away if he comes on as he should for his chasing debut.
