Beaten a nose by The Groove when contesting a similar race to this over C&D on his penultimate start. Decent effort when sixth at Doncaster (6f, good-to-firm) subsequently and is an interesting runner in this event.

Forecast

Mujassam (10/3), Steelriver (5/1), Di Matteo (5/1), Lucky Lodge (6/1), Zapper Cass (13/2), Duke Cosimo (8/1), Harry Beau (9/1), The Groove (16/1), Penniesfromheaven (28/1)

Verdict

LUCKY LODGE ran well in a handicap here last time out and granted a clear run he is taken to reverse form with a couple of his rivals here from a similar race to this last month. The selection is taken to get the better of top weight Mujassam who has been running well in recent starts while third place can go to Steelriver who ran well when runner-up on his penultimate outing.
  1. Lucky Lodge
  2. Mujassam
  3. Steelriver
