Found his feet last time at York (7f, soft) on his third start for this yard turning in an effort that would have won most handicaps (unlucky to bump into a talented winner). A winner off fractionally lower marks in the past; has a big part to play.
Scored for the second time this year when backing up his Carlisle victory under a penalty at Pontefract, both wins coming over 1m (found plenty for pressure both times). Beaten off marks like this in the past he can't be totally ruled out back to 7f.
One of the pace angles in the race (well-drawn) he's been in form for the most part this year without getting his head in front. All his wins have come over this trip; only beaten by a progressive sort last time; C&D winner off 5lb lower mark.
Drawn right next to the other pace setter in the race (Raselasad) she has been highly tried in Listed company on several occasions of late (better chance in handicaps). Starting to build up a long list of defeats; 8lb above her last winning mark.
Another one on a long losing run who has turned in some lack lustre efforts lately (ran far too free last time back in headgear). Well handicapped on his old form (15lb below last winning mark) if he could show some spark; all wins at 6f (0-9 at 7f).
Looks the lesser of the two runners from the yard despite being a C&D winner in testing conditions off a much lower mark (68). A winner earlier in the year over 1m off 1lb higher his last three starts have lacked any enthusiasm.
Dual course winner (both wins coming off 3lb lower; one over this trip); turned in his best effort for a while last time at Beverley (usual hood left off). Travelled well (had to weave through); up 2lb, but has won off higher marks, shortlisted.

Medahim (6/4), Hells Babe (9/2), Raselasad (6/1), Luis Vaz De Torres (13/2), Rousayan (7/1), Tadaawol (10/1), Gymkhana (10/1), Aeolus (20/1)
A decent competitive contest and one that will be run at a good pace with Hells Babe and Raselasad both well drawn to set the pace and the latter of that duo should once again go close but a pace duel may soften him up in a finish. Roger Fell has managed to get some consistency into Rousayan of late and he’ll enjoy coming from off a strong pace as he’s done in his last two starts. MEDAHIM ran in a stronger race than this last time at York acquitting himself well to finish second to a useful sort who had the race run to suit, he deserves compensation here. Luis Vaz De Torres faces a stiffer task than last time but he’s likely to prove a danger to all if repeating his last run.
- Medahim
- Luis Vaz De Torres
- Rousayan
