Conceded first run to a subsequent winner when taking his third runner-up slot in a row at Ffos Las last time (handicap debut). Hood left off last time but worn for previous two seconds returns this time around; should convert an easy opportunity.

Appears to have one standout effort to her name this year but the form of that second at Chester over an extended 7f looks dubious. 0-17 overall she's reverted to type on her last two starts running poorly on heavy ground over 6f last time at Thirsk.

This will be her first outing on turf having had four starts so far on AW (Tapeta/Fibresand) showing very little on that quartet of starts. First-time cheekpieces worn last time remain as she reverts to maiden company; looks limited at best.

Half-sister to a couple of useful types Final Drive and Our Emerald Forest but is going to struggle to live up to her pedigree based on her initial run. Showed some early speed over 6f at Hamilton but looks to need experience and time overall.

Newcomer (trainer has a 5% strike-rate with this type) who has been found a weak opportunity. First foal, dam, 6f winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 6f Justineo (scored for this yard); interesting to see what the market makes of her.

Forecasts

Delachance (30/100), Moudallal (7/2), Isabella Ruby (12/1), Go Bananas (16/1), Killer Queen (40/1), Look Who It Isnae (100/1)

Verdict

The third weak contest on the card with this basically being a choice between the experienced and luckless DELACHANCE and the Robert Cowell trained newcomer Moudallal. The former of that pair didn’t quite get the run of the race last time and is given an almost open goal to get off the mark here with his experience counting for plenty. Moudallal is an interesting debutant who despite the yard only having a lowly 5% strike-rate debutante 3yo’s in maidens they have had two winners of this type in their last five runners in such a scenario; market vibes will be important. None of the others are expected to feature with Isabella Ruby being a token selection for the minor place.
  1. Delachance
  2. Moudallal
  3. Isabella Ruby
