Sent off at big prices on two career hurdle starts running accordingly in the process and unlikely to be making a significant impact in this contest.
Ran well on hurdling debut here over 2m1½f behind Al Sakb on good ground before trailing in 41L adrift of Diamond Hill at the Galway festival last month. Can be forgiven latest start and one to note back at this venue.
Well held on three starts over hurdles finishing down the field on each occasion. Good chance handicaps will suit on the back of this challenge.
Has yet to make an impression on his three bumper starts. He was seventh of 13 on his latest start at Galway (2m½f). This is his first attempt over hurdles where he will need to show an improvement. Others preferred.
Court Cave gelding never a factor in three career starts over hurdles when sent off at big prices on each occasion. Has a bit to prove at present.
One of two in the race for Champion hurdle winning yard but unlikely to be troubling the judge following three innocuous efforts over hurdles since his debut last month. Another waiting for handicap go ahead.
Failed to build on a promising run at Punchestown in June when tailing off on his fourth bumper start at the Galway festival last month. Worth a market check on hurdling introduction.
Generally well held in four hurdle starts to date. Hard to fancy on overall evidence and others appear to hold sturdier claims in this event.
Well down the field in three maiden hurdle starts to date, beaten over 40L on each occasion. First time tongue strap fitted but needs a vast amount of improvement to get involved.
Struggling in three initial bumper efforts since May and tough to see where improvement is coming from to play a major part on hurdling debut.
Slight hint of improvement when finishing fourth of seven beaten 10L in a Kilbeggan maiden when last seen in May. Entitled to make the shortlist on that effort.
Earlier progression in bumpers appears to have leveled out in a couple of poor efforts at cork and on her final start for trainer Tony Mullins in April. Market likely to be the best guide on hurdling debut in first-time hood.
Forecasts
Shantou Bay (2/1), Judex Lefou (7/2), Paranoid (7/1), Flooring Porter (8/1), Moyode Lady (12/1), Killdevil George (12/1), Cosmic Rock (14/1), Bridget Cottage (14/1), Costly Diamond (16/1), Clear Left (20/1), Likable Chancer (25/1), Rockford Cave (25/1)
If keeping to the same front-running tactics, MOYODE LADY can have a few off the opposition in trouble some way as the daughter of Scorpion attempts to get off the mark for connections at the third attempt[pt over hurdles. The J P Ryan-trained, Killdevil George can be forgiven his latest start at the Galway festival last month as he emerges as the biggest danger. Flooring Porter and Judex Lefou can battle it out for minor honours.
- Moyode Lady
- Killdevil George
- Judex Lefou
