Gelding by Casamento out of a Motivator mare. 68-rated, five-race maiden on the Flat. Market likely to reveal expectations on hurdling debut.
Well held in two starts on the Flat before finishing sixth of 16 beaten 27L on hurdling introduction in a Roscommon maiden earlier this month. Improved performance would not surprise.
Five-race maiden yet to register a run of any note in a number of innocuous efforts to date. No impression approaching three out on hurdling debut in a Roscommon maiden over 2m earlier this month. Plenty to find in this company.

Yet to beat a rival in three runs on the Flat, the So You Think gelding was not disgraced on hurdling bow at Roscommon earlier this month when behind Brexit Briefcase. Easy to look elsewhere.

Colt by Derby winner Pour Moi out of a Mastercraftsman mare. Cost €30,000 as a yearling. Well held and never nearer on sole start over hurdles at Hexham in June. Others look more convincing.

55-rated handicapper on the Flat for trainer Ed Dunlop. Plenty to take from hurdling debut at Roscommon recently with a number of today's rivals behind. Bit more needed but enters calculations.

Daughter of Canford Cliffs, sole win on the Flat came on the AW at Dundalk with the filly out of luck in 10 starts on turf. Leading claims on debut given respected yard.
Roderic O'Connor filly. Her dam was a winner over 5f and 6f. She is a half-sister to Miracle Needed who prevailed over 1m3f. May need the experience on debut.

Forecasts

Laura Bullion (5/6), Global Freedom (5/2), Brexit Briefcase (9/2), Anthonysoprano (12/1), For Everyone (22/1), Doyouthinkso (33/1), Our Nancy (33/1), Charlie Bit Me (50/1)

Verdict

The Gordon Elliott-trained GLOBAL FREEDOM would not have to improve too much on his third of 16 at Roscommon earlier in the month to land the spoils in the opening contest. The three-year-old can hold off any potential challenge coming from the likes of Brexit Briefcase, sixth of 16 in the Roscommon race and the Canford Cliffs filly, Laura Bullion on debut for the Noel Meade yard.
  1. Global Freedom
  2. Brexit Briefcase
  3. Laura Bullion
