Heavy ground winner at Haydock towards the end of last season. May have needed the run on return from wind surgery last time out; probably needs rain to arrive to be seen at his best though.
2lb below his last winning mark at Leicester last year after four below par runs so far this season. Not one to rule out if he can bounce back to form here.
Maiden winner for Aidan O'Brien on AW at Dundalk. Has been running well in defeat so far this campaign and best effort for some time at Haydock when fourth of 17 last time out; could go well if the first-time cheekpieces spark improvement.
In excellent form last season, winning back-to-back handicaps at 1m2f. Has run well over C&D before but struggling for form so far this campaign.
C&D winner last year before going on to finish fourth in this contest. 3lb higher for this year's renewal though and form has tailed off in recent starts.
Two-time AW winner and while he's yet to score on turf, it was an improved effort at York last time out. Shaped like a step back up in trip may suit and dropped 1lb by the handicapper.
In the form of his life prior to his run last time out when tailed off, winning four of his five previous starts including a first turf success at Sandown. Conceivable that the handicapper has caught up with him now though.
Won by 12L when landing this race last year but has looked a bit flattered by that run when considering his efforts from his revised handicap mark since. 8lb higher than last year's renewal and up against it.
Arrives here bidding for a hat-trick after wins at Windsor and Newmarket and it would be no surprise if he had more to give at this trip now. 6lb rise for latest effort seems fair.
First Reserve: Largely running well in defeat in recent starts but her handicap mark is creeping up as a result and could only finish third of six over C&D last time out.

Mandarin (7/2), Big Kitten (6/1), Indianapolis (7/1), Genetics (7/1), Melting Dew (7/1), Hyanna (8/1), Reshoun (10/1), Badenscoth (10/1), Temple Church (10/1), Breath Caught (10/1), Koeman (12/1), Restorer (14/1)
BIG KITTEN looks as if he will appreciate the step back up in trip and he could be the one to beat if he can build on his effort at York last time out. Mandarin looks the main danger in his hat-trick bid with just a 6lb rise to cope with. Restorer and Temple Church are both well-handicapped if they can bounce back to form here.
