Got up late to win over 6f on handicap debut at Nottingham last month and going the right way. The step up in trip should suit on pedigree and worth considering despite having to give weight away now.
Showed plenty of promise on debut (7f, good) at Lingfield in June but not much progress made in two starts since. However, its still early days and very possible she'll improve now she switches to handicap company. Worth a betting check at least.
Modest form posted so far but does come here on the back of arguably her best effort yet, when she finished fifth of 13 on her handicap debut (over 6f, good to firm at Pontefract last month). Plenty to prove now she's upped to 1m for the first time.
Held in all four starts so far; including from a mark of 60 on her nursery debut last time out. Already been cut some some slack as she races from 3lb lower than her initial rating but a big step forward is still required.
Has a likable pedigree but well beaten in three starts before now (notably ran green when she finished 4l behind Callipygian when they met at Chelmsford in June). Has something to find but the step up in trip might bring some improvement.
Modest improvement on her first two starts when finishing third at Catterick (7f, good to soft) last month. However, she's up in both class and trip this time and has plenty to prove even though she gets plenty of weight from the rest.
Forecasts
Ebony Adams (11/8), Mrs Dukesbury (11/4), Callipygian (4/1), Boston Girl (11/1), Susie Javea (12/1), Lady Erimus (22/1)
EBONY ADAMS, who needed every yard of the trip when she won over 6f on her handicap debut three weeks ago, can take another step forward now she's proved that she can tough it out in a battle. The selection is up in trip but, as she's a half-sister to a winner over 1m2f, it's very feasible to expect a mile is easily within her capabilities. Mrs Dukesbury showed promise on her debut and is probably better than she's shown in two runs since. She starts her handicap career on a very workable mark and is suggested as the best alternative in this company. Callipygian, who has has already finished in front of Boston Girl, is nominated as another to consider.
- Ebony Adams
- Mrs Dukesbury
- Callipygian
