Verdict

John Gosden took this race with Beatboxer in 2018 and saddles an intriguing newcomer in the shape of the well-bred On Guard. He merits immense respect and the market should provide the necessary clues as to his level of ability. However, with the benefit of experience banked the upped in trip and locally trained HE'S A KEEPER rates as difficult to oppose. He stuck on in a determined manner inside the final furlong when just failing to reel in the Mark Johnston-trained Fred here (7f) three weeks ago.
