Plenty of weight to carry on his hurdling debut but there was plenty to like about the manner of his latest two wins at Cartmel winning his latest in July with his head in his chest. Much tougher ask on handicap debut but very much respected.
Has finished last or pulled up on his last three starts since a lucky winner at Fairyhouse in February. Hard to fancy on current form but likes this track and now on a fair mark. Chances.
Would need a career best performance to win off this mark but clearly has talent and capable on his day. Needs to put a below par run last time out behind him but won't be without his supporters.
Won very easily last time out at Killarney and has been punished by the handicapper as a result; clearly in good heart and can give a good account of himself but the extra weight is a worry.
In good form recently which included getting off the mark at the eighth time of asking when landing a 2m1f handicap here in April off a 13lb lower mark. Beaten twice since but may still able to make his presence felt in this grade.
Much better effort last time out at Limerick having been struggling since winning at Thurles in November, Not been given much relief by the handicapper and although in good heart may not be up to winning this.
Had been showing a return to form before scoring at Ballinrobe last time out in July. Tougher task at the weights and can be a tough ride a times. Chance on the best of his form and is a course and distance winner.
Won well over course and distance last time out. Has to race from out of the handicap here meaning he is up 9lb for that winner. That could be the fact that keeps him getting his head in front this evening.
