Newcomer by super sire Dubawi is a brother to 1m2f AW winner Calliandra out of a 1m-1m3f winner (inc German Group 3). From top yard capable with debutants so merits respect here.

Made a pleasing start to his career when keeping on well to finish a 5¼L sixth of 12 at Yarmouth. Had a break since but should have learnt plenty that day and extra 1f faced here is also expected to suit him so now merits respect.
Unraced son of prolific sire Invincible Spirit cost 140,000gns as a foal; closely related to Listed winner Yamal and Trailblazing (juvenile winner who won at this trip). Half-brother to three more winners. Top yard so merits respect on debut.

Farrh col who cost 300,000gns at the breeze-ups made a very pleasing debut at Newbury when finding only a John Gosden trained previous second and Champagne entry too good. Can only improve and sets a very high standard.

£60,000 yearling son of Society Rock is the first foal out of a 1m2f winner. Likely need more distance in time and probably best watched in what looks a warm if small contest.

Forecasts

Native Tribe (8/15), Herman Hesse (4/1), Dubai Mirage (5/1), Jean Baptiste (14/1), Tiger Zone (20/1)

Verdict

The debut effort of NATIVE TRIBE was a hugely pleasing one behind what looked likely a Group class winner and with the benefit of that run now Charlie Appleby can add yet another two-year-old score in what is proving another fantastic season for the Godolphin man. Herman Hesse ran a race filled with promise for the future on debut too and he could provide the sternest test. Dubai Mirage rates the most likely of the newcomers.
