Never a factor when green and outpaced on debut at Redcar (7f, good to firm) last month. Likely to need more time and others readily preferred.

Showed nice improvement from debut effort when beaten only ½L in 6f Doncaster novice contest last month. Greater progression expected over a longer trip and that form sets the standard.

March foal. Out of a Group Three winning mare up to 1m4f and half-brother to smart middle distance performer Medrano. Market should be informative but likely to need a trip in time.

Dark Angel colt. Dam was a four-time winner on the track (7f-1m) but hasn't produced a winner on the track yet. Interesting contender for top connections and one to take note of.

Half-brother to listed winner Tha'ir (6f-1m3f) and Emerald Approach (6f). Misbehaved and eventually well-beaten on debut in weak-looking maiden at Epsom (7f, good). Entitled to be more streetwise for this and notable if market support.

145,000 gns yearling purchase. Australia colt and is first progeny of a mare who failed to win on the racetrack. Price went up significantly at the sales and is one to watch. Shortlisted.

60,000 gns yearling out of an unraced mare who is a half-sister to 1m1f winner Tickle Me Blue and 1m2f winner Theo. Cant be discounted on debut.
Well-beaten behind useful winner on debut but showed little improvement when 8L seventh in 7f Wolverhampton maiden last month. This company looks tough and could be one for handicaps.

Gelding operation helped irk out improvement from debut effort when 4L fourth at Doncaster (7f, good to firm). Had the run of the race that day and weakened so more is needed for this.

Holds a Group Two entry. Kingman colt who is a half-brother smart 1m4f winner Appeared and up to 1m2f winner Apparate. Strong pedigree and yard has been strong in two-year-old races this season. Respected.

Forecasts

Atheeb (13/8), Throne Hall (11/4), Shevchenko Park (6/1), Flashing Approach (10/1), End Zone (12/1), King Carney (12/1), Make Me Laugh (16/1), Arabescato (16/1), Clever Trick (33/1), Precision Storm (50/1), America First (50/1)

Verdict

There was plenty to like with the run of ATHEEB at Doncaster last time and is a noteworthy runner for his trainer on the card. He can put his experience to good use over some unexposed rivals and looks to b the one to beat. Throne Hall has an attractive pedigree on paper and he hails from a yard who usually have their horses fully wound up for their debuts, while Shevchenko Park should appreciate a sharper - rather than extended - seven furlongs and could be dangerous if he gets a soft lead in front.
