Last of six at Chester on her most recent start, could be excused that run on track/trip/ride grounds; better judged on previous efforts. 7f AW winner as a 2yo her turf form so far leaves something to be desired; not one to write off too readily.

Debut winner as a juvenile (6f, AW) who has shown herself capable of winning in handicaps judged on her three efforts in this sphere so far. Eased slightly in grade/mark this 1m will give her more time to get organised (strong pace preferable).

Three-time C&D winner (took this last year off 8lb higher mark) when Chris Dwyer who looks to be working her way back to form for new yard. Ran creditably with blinkers back on last time; vulnerable to improving three-year-olds this time around.

Looked useful for her previous yard (Ismail Mohammed) in three starts despite not winning; very creditable second on stable debut last time (second to subsequent winner). Nicely weighted on that piece of form for her handicap debut, drops in trip.

Won twice so far this year with the latest win coming over C&D (settled well off strong pace, played last by today's rider). Raised 5lb and suited by the way her last race developed (needs things to go her way again); not certain to repeat last run.

Forecasts

Scentasia (10/11), Dupioni (7/2), Romola (9/2), Coastline (6/1), Bint Dandy (25/1)

Verdict

Last year’s winner Bint Dandy may be off an 8lb lower mark this time around and also be a three-time C&D winner but she faces a tough task against a quartet of three-year-olds to retain her title. SCENTASIA made an encouraging debut for the Gosden yard in June and with her conqueror on that day (Gifts Of Gold) subsequently winning a Goodwood handicap of 90 it’s not hard to conclude she’s nicely weighted for this contest. Coastline took a C&D handicap last time but that race panned out perfectly for her and both Dupioni and Romola neither who have seen the best of yet who will prove to be bigger dangers.
