Only raced once since winning at Goodwood in August 2017 for Andrew Balding. Every chance on that form, but watching brief advised starting out for a new yard after more than 13 months on the sidelines.
Winner over 7f here for Johnny Murtagh last season, but went off the boil a little. Tried over hurdles on debut for new yard, and well held in two starts over 1m this season, so passed over until showing more.
Multiple winner for Mich Channon, and has been running well since taking a 6f claimer here in May. Rain would help his cause, and he ought to be on the premises if getting the rub of the green.
Not the force of old,. but retains plenty of ability despite his advancing years, and the pick of this year's efforts give him every chance. Another who wouldn't mind any softening of the ground, and folly to ignore.
Improved from debut when winning a 7f maiden at Cork in April. Not seen since, and while he's unexposed and promising, he does face a stiffer task against experienced sprinters. Market should guide.
Produced a career best performance to win at Limerick over an extended 6½f in April, and not disgraced in a better race at Gowran since. More required against her elders here, but not ruled out.
Failed to build on promise of his debut effort for William Haggas, and while not disgraced since, has a bit to prove now starting out for a new yard.

Forecasts
Lincoln (6/4), Sirjack Thomas (11/4), Check My Pulse (4/1), Mary Salome (13/2), Opening Verse (7/1), Maarek (7/1), That's Not Me (10/1), Scorching Heat (14/1), Woods (20/1)
Opening Verse is the horse with potential here, and he's got every chance at the weights, but is coming off a break and lacks experience, so a chance is taken on veteran MAAREK, who has been running better than the form figures imply, and has a chance to turn back the clock. Lincoln is another who has seen plenty of action, but should be ideally suited by this test, and can get in the money again.
