Born To Sea gelding that hasn't beaten a horse home in two starts and already looks moderate. Needs huge improvement from somewhere, and that looks very unlikely.
Showcasing colt that makes some appeal on paper but yard are 0-22 with their 2yos first time out over the past two years, and the fact he's already had a wind operation is a little disconcerting too. Easy enough to pass over.
Cable Bay colt that left his Kempton debut well behind at Windsor last time, finishing off well for second (third a winner since) and looking progressive. That form makes him the one to beat and this looks an excellent chance to score.
Kodiac filly that has looked very green on both starts, didn't improve from first run to second and debatable whether this track will be suitable at this stage. Place chances all the same, but may be one for nurseries after today.
Done little in two starts to suggest she's up to winning this, but at least has the excuse of soft ground last time out at Deauville. Plenty to find if she's to prove a threat.
Lethal Force filly that's bred to be speedy, and yard can ready them first time up (11% strike rate over the last two years). She wouldn't have to be anything special to take a hand in a contest lacking depth here, and must be considered.
Forecasts
Modern British Art (5/4), Just May (6/4), Aryaaf (4/1), Calbuco (20/1), Butterfly Pose (40/1), Born For Fun (100/1)
Not many to concentrate on and after a much better effort at Windsor last time, MODERN BRITISH ART sets the standard for the others to aim at. He looked to have plenty of improvement left in him and in truth, probably only need run to that form to see those with form off. The fly in the ointment is JUST MAY, who looks a speedy sort on paper and wouldn't need to be a worldbeater to shake the selection up. Aryaaf looks the one for the trifecta.
