Continues to perform to a high standard and potentially bumped into a useful horse in the shape of the Godolphin-owned Silver Line at Nottingham (1m+, good) 18 days ago; 5lb above his last winning mark.
Front-runner who sits 3lb higher than when beating Alkaamel by 1L over C&D (good) in April; has faced some very tough assignments since (including at Listed level); fine with cut underfoot and should appreciate the ease in grade; percentage call.
Won his first couple of starts (6f-7f) with a degree of authority and has progressed in stronger races since; was beaten 1½L by the subsequent scorer Triple Distilled in a 7f Class 3 handicap at York (good to firm) in July; soft ground?
Progressive since returning to turf, notching back-to-back wins at Carlisle (6f-7f); put in a solid shift from the front when beaten 1L by Inhale at Doncaster (7f) 12 days ago; stamina to prove over 1m on soft ground.
Forecasts
Oasis Prince (13/8), Caustic Love (9/4), Divinity (7/2), Sandret (4/1)
Just the four declared, but this isn't the type of contest for holding a necessarily strong opinion. Both Sandret and Caustic Love are progressive, although there are also slight doubts here, namely ground and trip respectively. Oasis Prince needs a career best off his current handicap mark (can't be ruled out), so the more cautious default position is to stick with the front-running C&D winner DIVINITY who should appreciate an ease in grade having flown high, including at Listed level, since scoring in April.
- Divinity
- Caustic Love
- Oasis Prince
