No win since October 2017, though has been consistent in four British starts this term and could have a major say from this mark with first-time cheekpieces tried.
Ended a lengthy losing run this track in June, but has long been vulnerable from this sort of mark, and failed to trouble the judge at Salisbury last time. Place claims if bouncing back, but opposable on balance.
Back to form when scoring over 6f at Epsom last month on quick ground, only 2lb higher now over this shorter trip and remains on the shortlist for this prize.
Winner at Chepstow in June over 5f on good to soft, likely a line can be drawn through last-time-out Sandown effort. Remains 4lb above last win-mark.
Only sixth in Lingfield race won by Harrogate in May when last spotted. Better off on these terms but no shock that rival confirm superiority.
Form figures of 121 since June, scoring at Nottingham (6f, good) and over C&D (firm) either side of solid Newbury run. Has an additional 7lb to contend with but should be in the shake-up.
