Was 2-3 having come clear for winning turf bow/reappearance over C&D in May and never-nearer third on handicap bow at Newmarket in June another good effort. Shouldn't be far away.
Winner on third start last year over extended-mile at Nottingham. Couple of fair efforts this season at Windsor over 1m2f/1m3½f and retains potential for better with hood refitted this evening.
Dark Angel filly, career-best when winning seven-runner handicap at Newmarket (1m2f, good to firm; 7/2) a fortnight ago. Penalty makes life tougher but no surprise to see her there or thereabouts.
Stoutly-bred filly from a highly respected yard, she is a half-sister to winners between 7f up to 2m on the Flat. Maiden winner on the AW on third run last year (1m). Returns from absence with yard flying for this handicap debut and needs respect.
Forecasts
Universal Order (2/1), Bint Soghaan (9/4), Albanita (5/2), Alnadir (4/1)
UNIVERSAL ORDER was a very good novice winner here earlier in the season and shaped well enough on handicap bow at Newmarket next time, despite a sluggish start. There's still plenty scope for better and he can take this prize ahead of recent Newmarket winner Bint Soghaan, who must defy a 6lb penalty. The returning Albanita needs strong monitoring for a Sir Mark Prescott team in excellent form as she makes her handicap debut.
- Universal Order
- Bint Soghaan
- Albanita
