3-13 career record though all success to this point has come over 1m4f. Chester third in June over 2m bodes well and must go on the shortlist.
Scored over 1m6f here recently, seemingly taking well to the extra stamina test. Raised 5lb for that success but appeals a player with further yardage added now.
Pontefract winner over 1m4f in October, hasn't threatened either run this season over 1m6f however at Sandown and Haydock and definite questions to answer on the stamina front.
Scored at this track in September over 1m3½f on quick ground. Yet to sparkle in two starts this term but this sort of stamina-test could be up his street. Watch betting.
Hard to be confident that the 26th time of asking will be the lucky one, races from out of the handicap and others are preferred.

Forecasts
Horatio Star (6/4), Charlie D (9/4), Beer With The Boys (4/1), Le Torrent (4/1), Gemini (13/2), Knight Commander (10/1)
Charlie D shaped well over 2m at Chester earlier in the summer and has claims here while Gemini is a previous course winner that could take to this sort of stamina test. Horatio Star can go well again despite a 5lb penalty for his last-time-out course success but LE TORRENT was an eye-catching second on the AW on debut for Emma Lavelle and, rated 1lb higher, is another with winning Bath form that looks primed to go well.
