Returning from wind surgery when beaten 38L into fifth in a 2m5f handicap chase at Cartmel (good) last time out. Worth a check in the market for a stable with a 38% strike-rate (3/8) of late.
In good form of late following up a 4L victory at Perth (3m, good) in June with a head second in first time cheekpieces (replaced with a visor for the first time here) over the same C&D last time out. Leading contender once more.
Victorious by 6L in a novices' handicap chase at Perth (3m, good) on his penultimate start. Struggled in a valuable contest over the same C&D subsequently and likely more needed in this contest.
Completed a double when winning over an extended 2m5f at Market Rasen (good) in June. Good 31L fifth in a valuable contest over the same C&D on his most recent chase start and is an interesting runner on this occasion.
Impressed in winning by 14L on debut for this yard at Perth (2m4f, good-to-soft) last time out. Raised 9lb for that success and is interesting stepping up in distance.
Useful horse on his day and registered a victory over 3m at Ludlow (good) in April. Couple of decent efforts in defeat since and races off a mark 3lb higher than for his latest success.
Nine time Rules winner but out of form in three starts since finishing a head second at Exeter (3m, good) last November. Likely to have improved for last months seasonal reappearance.
Returning from wind surgery when finishing 14½L fourth over an extended 2m5f at Market Rasen (good) last month. Has won off higher marks in the past.
Dual winner here in the spring including over this C&D on good-to-soft going in June. Held in two subsequent starts but not written off completely.
