Won on his first two starts over hurdles but the Galileo geldings form has appeared to have leveled out since. Has failed to complete in his last couple of starts and needs to dramatically improve here.

Has been running to a consistent standard over both sets of obstacles recently, but it is still almost two years since his last success. Market likely to be the best guide on return from 100+ day break.

Winner of just one of his 21 starts over hurdles but the Mahler gelding finished third of 20 over C&D in this contest 12 months ago off a 4lb lower mark. Out of form of late and looks up against it.

Consistent sort landed a third career win over hurdles in a 2m4f contest at the recent Bellewstown meeting earlier this month off a 8lb lower mark. More than capable of a big run and should go well with a clear round.

Going well over the larger obstacles of late and the Court Cave gelding remains a solid and genuine type over hurdles winning two of his 14 starts, hitting the frame on a further five occasions. One to consider.

Course winner of a 3m hurdle in October beating five rivals by 9L. Below par effort when last seen in June at Punchestown and is liable to find a couple stronger here.

Solid and consistent form in three races all at Ballinrobe since May including a ½L success in a maiden contest over 2m4f. Well adrift of Generator City last time but likely to go better here.

Landed his second hurdle win in 14 starts in a Down Royal handicap last month off a 5lb lower mark over 3m before pulling up two out at Bellewstown earlier this month. Plenty to prove in this contest.

One from nine over hurdles, the Honolulu geldings sole win coming in a Roscommon 2m maiden hurdle three years ago. Third of seven at Sligo this month was his best effort for sometime but needs to back that up once again.

Yet to get off the mark in five hurdle starts to date. Worth a check in the market from a yard who won this contest in 2016 with Plain Talking and saddled Highland Fling to finish fourth two years ago.

Recently seen over the larger obstacles. Pulled up on his latest start at Limerick earlier this month and has been in dismal form since landing a Cork beginners contest in November. Below last winning mark over hurdles but hard to fancy in this.

Off the mark for connections at the fifth time of asking when landing a 2m5½f novice hurdle contest at Ballinrobe last week, beating Summer Hill 2¾L. Overall form solid and fancied to go well on handicap debut.

Off the mark over fences last week when winning a Wexford beginners contest over 2m4f beating eight rivals a neck. 17-race maiden over hurdles but hits the frame with great regularity and is worthy of consideration.

One from 15 over hurdles for the Stowaway mare who has hit the frame on a further six occasions. Recent efforts have come with significant amounts of promise and appears one of the more likely types here.

Will have disappointed leading connections with a series of dismal efforts over hurdles since making his debut in December. First time blinkers cheekpieces to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Could be considered inconsistent as can put in a good run then show nothing on the next occasion. Six-race maiden hurdler unlikely to improve enough to land the spoils here.

Verdict

The Andrew Slattery-trained COOLDINE BOG can get back to winning ways over hurdles and land the third win of his career in this wide-open contest. The six-year-old will have many challengers in the shape of Megalomaniac who attempts to land a hat-trick of wins for trainer and jockey combination won this contest with Black Key 12 months ago, Downpatrick winner, Happy Lad and Castle North who will look to improve on a disappointing run at Ballinrobe last week for trainer-Willie Mullins.
