Showed more resolution than the runner-up to score over hurdles at Newton Abbot last time, and looks nicely treated back over fences here. Trip and ground fine and with yard in sparkling form, looks one of the main players tonight.

First start for new yard (formerly with Kim Bailey), not seen out for over a year now and looked a bit one-paced for former yard but there's a chance that new scenery and some time off may have turned him around. Watch market for a clue.

C&D winner back in May of last year, a run which if repeated gives him a squeak, but two efforts since coming back after an absence have left plenty to be desired. Hard to fancy in current frame of mind.

Looks on the downgrade these days, last win coming back in 2017 and has been well beaten in both starts this season. May be fitter here and handicapper offering him a chance, but hard to fancy all the same.

Well into the veteran stage now but seems to retain plenty of enthusiasm for the job and has come back off a long absence to hit the frame in a couple of low-grade handicaps this spring. Might be more of the same here.

Nothing if not consistent, two wins and three places from his last five starts and nothing wrong with his third over 3m here last time. Drop back in trip probably a plus, and no reason for him not to run his race once more.

Age: 7|  Weight: 10-1| J: Callum Bewley| T: Mrs J Stephen| OR:  75

No win in 19 starts, recent form little to shout about, including when an early faller here on latest start. Looks an unlikely winner.

Forecasts

Danboru (6/4), Chateau Robin (7/4), Roll Of Thunder (6/1), Mr Bolt (12/1), Highland Peak (14/1), Havana Jack (25/1), Indian Voyage (50/1)

Verdict

Chateau Robin is very interesting on his first start for Nicky Richards, but he has been off for a while and may well need this. Keep an eye on the market, as support for him would be significant. Danboru showed too much resolution for them at Newton Abbot and will be competitive back over fences but old ROLL OF THUINDER is having a great time of it this summer and may well be able to score again. Mr Bolt might be in his twilight years but he might be able to take a medal of some colour home here.
  1. Roll Of Thunder
  2. Danboru
  3. Mr Bolt
