His last success came at Newmarket (5f) last August. Making his return to action here for the first time since February when he was fifth of seven at Chelmsford (5f) on the AW. Has been eased 2lb. One to watch.
Was victorious twice last season over this distance. Went close to adding to his tally at Ascot back in May when second of 11. Form recently has been below his best. Down 3lb so has to be respected off this mark.
Completed a hat-trick of wins at Goodwood last season. Hit the frame for the first time this year at Chepstow (6f) on latest appearance when third of eight. Has been eased 2lb since his last start. Each-way claims here.
Was second of eight at Leicester (7f) on opening start of the year, while he was fourth of 12 over that C&D last time when going off as the 9/2 favourite. Has won twice over this trip and drops down 1lb so is a strong contender.
Lightly-raced colt who was successful on debut at Kempton (6f) on the AW. Made a promising start in handicap company last time as he was fourth of 12 at Nottingham (5f). Open to improvement so a leading player over this distance.
Started her career with two wins on the AW but has been unable to add to that in handicap company where she has been running consistently well. Was second of 10 last time at Wolverhampton (6f). Has been eased 1lb since then. One to consider.
Experienced gelding who won over this distance at Doncaster last September off this mark, while more recently, he was successful at Bath over 5f. Has been second on his last two starts. One for shortlist.
A C&D winner who is looking for his first success since October 2017. Has only featured four times over the last couple of years. Was fifth of seven at Epsom (6f) last time. Down 3lb here. Capable if he can reproduce his best form.
Form has been poor this season, apart from when third of eight at Newmarket (6f) two starts back. Had just one horse behind him at Chester (6f) last time in a nine runner field. Others make more of an appeal.
Was successful at Bath over the extended 5f trip back in May. Has been unable to follow that up since then. Could only finish fifth of eight last time at Bath (5½f). Others standout more on this surface.
Started the year with success on the AW at Kempton (6f). Since then though his form has been poor. Could only finish seventh of nine last time at Lingfield (6f). Now down to a career low mark. Hard to make a case for though.
Forecasts
With Caution (10/3), Vegas Boy (7/2), Typhoon Ten (5/1), Oeil De Tigre (7/1), Young John (7/1), Big Lachie (8/1), Miracle Garden (14/1), Tin Hat (20/1), Clear Spring (20/1), Mont Kiara (20/1), Excellent George (28/1)
TYPHOON TEN showed enough promise on his handicap debut at Nottingham last time to suggest that he is capable of scoring at this level. He was staying on strongly over 5f on that latest start, therefore, this distance should suit him perfectly. Big Lachie has had to settle for second place on his last two appearances and will be in contention in the closing stages again here, while With Caution can hit the frame and continue his consistent campaign this season.
- Typhoon Ten
- Big Lachie
- With Caution
