Second in his only Irish point-to-point (beaten 6L) he had wind surgery prior to his C&D bumper debut (wore tongue-tie/cheekpieces). Ridden positively, had no answer to winner/favourite turn of pace; may well appreciate more of a test.
Stable don't have a bad bumper record with limited ammunition (2-14 last five seasons; 4-22 here since 1997). Hinted at ability on her debut (beaten 25L) over C&D in May; didn't settle fully but not knocked around; could progress, note a market move.

Trainer 2-7 with his GB bumper runners last five seasons (has a decent record in Ireland also in this sphere). This one showed a little more on her second start making late gains at Cork without threatening the leaders; possibility of more to come.
The only one in the field making their debut; first foal of an unraced dam who is a half-sister to bumper/2m-2m4f chase winner The Laodicean. Yard are 0-23 in the past five seasons in bumpers; needs others to falter to change that statistic.
Not disgraced on her bumper debut at Southwell (yard always to be respected in this sphere; 5-16 in bumpers here since 1997). Well related filly who showed a good attitude on her debut (looks a stayer, finished with running in her); leading player.

Verdict

The Nicky Henderson yard suffered a rare setback with a bumper debutant when CRYSTAL GAZING was beaten at Southwell but she is likely to have come on for that run/experience and the yard have an excellent record at this track with bumpers (their last four runners here have gone 1121). Noel’s Boy is the only male in the field and showed on his debut that he had ability although a stiffer test would be preferable, the yard incidentally haven’t had a bumper winner here since 2012. The Irish raider Josie Abbing has to be respected especially with Richard Johnson coming in for the ride while any positive market vibes for I’m Notapartygirl should be noted.
