Two years now since his 2m2f win at Newbury and has shown little in 2019 to suggest a change in fortune is imminent, albeit he's been contesting much better races than this. Gets a chance to bounce back eased in grade.

Lightly-raced son of Sea The Stars, took a maiden hurdle over 2m here 11 days ago. Interesting on first try over this trip on the Flat, with Oisin Murphy booked to ride.

10-year-old best known for exploits over jumps, though arguably never really lived up to expectations in that sphere. Scored in 1m6f amateur riders' race at Newbury last summer, 0-6 over jumps since. Has had a wind operation and considered here.

Dylan Thomas gelding is winless on the Flat since 2017 and has been well held in similar contests at Pontefract, Chepstow and Lingfield (2m-2m4f) of late, ensuring he remains opposable.

Verdict

Not a field to fall in love with, truth to be told, and marginal preference is for TOSHIMA after his hurdles success at this track 11 days ago. Oisin Murphy rides and he has more scope for improvement than a few of these. Jukebox Jive takes a significant drop in class after failing in some tough races recently and needs respecting as such, while Dell' Arca was a winner on the level last summer for David Pipe and returns from a short break having undergone wind surgery.
