Has improved hugely for his current yard, his latest win at Yarmouth a year ago coming off a 23lb higher mark than when starting his winning sequence last May. Lenghty absence since is a definite concern, but market should guide.
Back below his last winning handicap mark after six below par efforts this year. Hinted at a revival at York last time, but still needs a big step forward on that to get involved.
Disappointing at Carlisle last time, but that may have come too soon after back-to-back wins here and at Newbury. On the other hand, he's 9lb higher than for that defeat and needs another lifetime best to succeed.
Won again at Brighton in April, and has run with credit to finish third off this mark on his last three starts. Young apprentice has been among the winners for this yard lately, and his claim could be vital in a tight heat.
Not at his best since scoring at Hamilton in May, and proved a disappointment under a senior jockey at Catterick last time. Usual apprentice back on board now, but has something to prove.

Shamshon (13/8), Jack The Truth (2/1), Captain Colby (9/2), Foxy Forever (6/1), Spirit Of Wedza (7/1), Laith Alareen (9/1)
None of these are ahead of the handicapper, but most are reliable enough. Marco Ghiani is an improved rider of late, and his 7lb claim could make all the difference to the consistent SHAMSON, who is knocking on the door. Jack The Truth had excuses last time, and should bounce back, while Laith Alareen would be a danger to all if he was primed for this return from a lengthy absence.
