Seven-race maiden in the Point-To-Point sphere, and hard to make a case for following a below-par debut in a Kilbeggan beginners contest earlier this month finishing 92L adrift of the winner, Westland Row.
Improvement continued when finishing third of 16 beaten 4¾L in a Bellewstown maiden hurdle earlier in the month. Went well in a couple of chase starts in May and not without a chance in this contest.
Running well in a number of hurdling efforts since May but the Stowaway gelding is still seeking jis first win in 15 starts. Likely to be popular in the market on chasing debut for leading trainer and jockey combination.
Has hit the frame on a couple of occasions from five starts over hurdles. Sholokhhov gelding is worthy of a check in the market on chasing bow given he was successful on his final point-to-point start a little over 12 months ago.
Finished second of nine in a Uttoxeter handicap chase on his final start for trainer Alan King in March. Beaten here in a maiden hurdle on stable debut earlier this month and no reason not to see a big run here.
Doyan gelding well held in a couple of bumper starts and finished down the field when beaten 86L on hurdling debut at Cork in May. Difficult to recommend a big run in first-time cheekpieces on chasing introduction.
12-race maiden, raced in mid-division before being pushed along on approach to three out on chasing debut at Roscommon earlier this month, eventually refusing at the last. Others more compelling.
Daughter of Yeats without success in 14 starts including finishing seventh of nine beaten 26L on chasing debut in a Clonmel beginners contest last month. Has plenty to prove in this company.
Went in to many notebooks when finishing fourth of 13 beaten 4½L when hampered on chasing debut in April. Appears to have more to offer and very much respected in this contest if taking the step up in trip in his stride.

Licklighter (3/1), Roney (10/3), Monition (10/3), Pistol Shoot (4/1), Shetland Bus (5/1), Stylish Moment (8/1), Yeats Mardy (20/1), Woodbrook Boy (25/1), Doran The Legend (50/1), Randall's Aoibhinn (66/1)
The good form over hurdles and chasing experience already under his belt may pay dividends for the Denis Hogan-trained LICKLIGHTER on his third start over the larger obstacles. The Brian Boru gelding can land the spoils in a tricky encounter with the Paul Nolan-trained Roney possibly emerging as the biggest danger. The Gordon Elliott pair Monition and Pistol Shoot both deserve consideration, while Stylish Moment demands a check in the market following a solid run hurdles run over C&D earlier this month.
- Licklighter
- Roney
- Stylish Moment
