Winless after seven starts. Below-par fourth over C&D last time when too keen. This is much more uncompetitive, though a muddling race with no pace would not see him to best effect.
The in-form horse. Yard have surged back to form in recent weeks, and he is just the type of horse his handler excels with. 10lb higher than for easy Wolverhampton (1m1f; standard) victory, and unlikely he is done progressing just yet.
Major disappointment when last of six at Haydock Park (1m4f; good to firm) after a promising run at Newcastle (1m4f; standard to slow) the time before that. Headgear is back on now, but he is now 0-7 and is beginning to become frustrating.

This is an uncompetitive affair which can go the way of the progressive HYDROPLANE who made it two wins off the belt when scoring in comprehensive fashion at Wolverhampton last time. The step up in trip to 1m4f should see him in an even better light, and he could rack up a sequence of victories as the season goes on. It is difficult to find many positives about his opposition, but perhaps Frankadore can prove second-best and bounce back to something like his best with the reapplication of headgear. A change in tactics may see Artistic Language in a better light after his keenness has been his downfall recently.
