Without success in seven starts over hurdles including a couple of dismal efforts at Clonmel and Killarney in the last five weeks. First time cheekpieces doubtful to bring about the required amount of progress needed to play a role here.
Four-race maiden who deserves a change of luck. The Lord Du Sud gelding has hit the frame in his last three starts over hurdles including finishing second of 14 beaten ¾L at Roscommon earlier this month. Progression to continue.
Finished nearer last than first in a couple of career starts three years apart. Well held here in a bumper in April following a 1111 days break. First-time blinkers need to weave some magic.
Made his debut in a Tralee point-to-point back in May over 3m eventually being pulled up. Beaten 86L on hurdling debut in a Cork 2m maiden earlier this month. Looks a tall order.
Dylan Thomas gelding out of a Namid mare. Cost €17,000 as a three-year-old. Dam won over 5f. Possibly uninspiring to see first-time hood for belated racecourse debut.
Appears to be progressing well in a couple of starts at Clonmel in June and at Roscommon over 2m5f earlier this month. Can go well again for trainer who has a 33% strike rate with his maiden hurdlers at this meeting in the last four years.
