13-race maiden over fences, and lacks the class that others seem to possess in this race. Would need to show abnormal improvement from his most recent ninth-placed finish in a Wexford (2m4f; good) handicap to feature.

0-7 in the Point-To-Point sphere, and he now makes his rules debut with plenty to do. Cannot be recommended and others hold vastly more appealing claims.

Holds Westland Row comfortably after their run here last time out, when he was runner-up behind Robin De Carlow who has gone onto frank the form in emphatic style since. That was a fine first run over fences and he should go very close.
Suffered heavy defeats on each of his three starts over fences. Goes beyond 2m4f for the first time in his career. Has too many questions to answer to be considered a solid contender. Look elsewhere.

Showed a fair level of ability over hurdles, but ran nowhere near that level on chase debut at Punchestown (2m5f; good to yielding) last month. Major disappointment if he wasn't capable of much better, but probably best to adopt a watching brief.

Latest run should be forgiven when he was pitched into a deep handicap on his first foray into that sphere last time. Now makes chase debut and is seemingly the pick of the stable's three runners based on jockey bookings.

0-6 over fences. Required to bounce back off a below-par effort at Roscommon (3m; good) recently, but had finished a good third at this track over slightly shorter the time before that which entitles him to an each-way shout.

Inconsistent sort who showed very little when sixth at Ballinrobe (1m5f; yielding to soft) on the flat last time. Pulled-up and fell on both starts over hurdles prior to that so is evidently not in career-best form. Solid propositions elsewhere.

Looked to have been gifted a golden opportunity last time when sent off 4-6f in a four-runner affair at Perth (3m; good), only to unseat his rider at the first. Place claims at best back on these shores in a tougher race.

Finished third behind the hugely exciting Robin De Carlow at this track over slightly shorter last time. Was also behind Eamon High then and unlikely to reverse that form given the size of the gap between them. Place possibilities once again.
Better was clearly expected when she finished eighth on chase debut at Roscommon (2m5f; good) when she was sent off 9-2. Needs to step up on the basis of that effort, and this looks a more competitive assignment.

Verdict

An open Beginners Chase, with plenty of powerful connections represented. Cheveley Park are one of those, and their Western Honour will never get a better chance to score over fences than he did when a warm order to land a small-field event at Perth recently, when failing to get past the first fence. The other Gordon Elliot representative is the selection, in the shape of PRESENT IN COURT who can make a winning transition to fences on his return from a short break after holding a largely progressive profile as a novice hurdler last season. Eamon High is also worth a mention after he bumped into the hugely talented Robin De Carlow on his chasing bow at this track.
