Bred to stay at least 1m, and improved when 5½L third of 13 to Golden Horde in a 6f novice at Windsor last time. More to come at this trip, and likely to make a bold bid.

Split subsequent winners when fourth on debut at Windsor (5f, soft), and although he hasn't yet built on that, he's been shaping up well, and is the type to do better now handicapping.

By far his best effort to date came when third of 7 to Chattanooga Boy in a 5f novice here on his penultimate start. Claims on that if staying, but has run poorly either side of that standout run. Gelded since last seen.

Cheap purchase, as was same connections' half-sister Miss Inga Sock, who won five handicaps for the yard. Off the mark in a weak 7f maiden at Lingfield last time, making all, but will need to improve on the bare form to follow up.

Caught the eye when finishing third at Pontefract back in April, and gelded after next outing. Rested since May, and gives the impression he has plenty more to offer, so shortlisted on nursery bow.

Offered something to work on when fifth on debut at York in May, but has gone backwards since. Handicapping in cheekpieces could be a catalyst for belated improvement, but others make more appeal on form.

Probably best judged on penultimate outing when fifth in a 6f Chepstow novice which has thrown up a host of future winners. Ran poorly when fancied in a claimer at Compiegne last time, though, and now tried in blinkers.

Has improved with each start, her best effort when 4L sixth of 12 to Governor of Punjab in a 7f novice at Chelmsford a month ago. May do better yet, and not without a squeak.

Forecast

Making History (5/4), Fantom Force (9/2), Miss Matterhorn (11/2), Danny Ocean (15/2), International Lion (12/1), Sparkling Diamond (12/1), Swiss Bond (25/1), Richard R H B (33/1)

Verdict

MAKING HISTORY has shown progressive form over shorter, and is bred to excel at this and longer trips, so should prove a solid option in a typically trappy nursery. Danny Ocean, gelded since last seen in May, seems to have been brought along with handicaps in mind, and looks a danger, along with Fantom Force, whose yard has a fine record with juveniles here.
