Off the mark for connections at the seventh time of asking when landing a Tipperary handicap hurdle over 3m off a 6lb lower mark. Life more difficult under a penalty but very much a leading player.

Still looking for his breakthrough success in six starts over hurdles. The Dansili gelding failed to build on a promising run at Tipperary in May with a 46L reversal at Clonmel last month. More needed.

Nothing of note in four starts over hurdles to date. First time hood doubtful to bring about the required amount of progress needed to play a role here.

Lightly raced maiden still looking for his first success in eight starts over hurdles. Posted a career best when finishing second of 12 beaten a nose in a Cork handicap hurdle earlier this month. More than capable of another big run here.

Without success in nine starts over hurdles, well held on the majority of occasions. First time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of progression needed to land a blow here.

Appeared to improve for the fitting of first time visor when finishing fourth of 17 at Listowel last month and a case to be made for the 21-race maiden going well at a price here.

Verdict

The Gavin Cromwell-trained pair, Lucky Road and PEACHES AND CREAM could have the race between them as they turn for home here. The four-year-old son of Salutino can add to his win at Downpatrick on Monday is quickly turned out with a 5lb penalty and can get the better of his stablemate, himself a winner at Sligo on Sunday. The potential improver, Stolen Moment, the Charles Byrnes-trained Give Battle and Hussle Up in first-time cheekpieces can battle for the minor honours.
  1. Peaches And Cream
  2. Lucky Road
