Took time to warm to her task but eventually stayed on well to score at Salisbury 1m2f last time. Carries 6lb penalty over slightly shorter trip but should again be in the thick of the action.
Only win came over C&D in March off 6lb higher mark for Mark Johnston. Has shown little form in three starts since joining current yard and hopes rest on return here sparking some sort of a revival.
Handicap bow for very well bred filly who has hinted at ability in three starts so far at up 1m2f. Shrewd handler has 17% win rate at this track with his 3yo's so certainly worth checking for any market support.
Five starts for Robert Cowell, showing better form final two outings stepped up to a mile. Debut for new yard and steps up again to trip that could suit. Should be on the premises.
Kodiac gelding who has yet to figure in three starts to date over 7f. Step up in trip will help and makes handicap bow off modest mark for yard that sometimes like a tilt at the ring. Worth noting any positive market signals.
Very modest form in five starts so far. Made little impression on handicap bow over 7f last time at Kempton so tried now over further. Hard to enthuse over.
Won Chelmsford 1m2f handicap in February on seasonal reappearance but hasn't really progressed since then, particularly in last five starts. Looks fully exposed and likely to find a few too good once again.
Maiden whose best effort was on penultimate start at Hamilton when respectable third over 1m1f. Stayed on into fifth at Chepstow latest over extra furlong and has place claims if able to back that up on this very different surface
Poor form in six starts so far over a wide varierty of trips. Best effort came on only previous visit here in December when sixth in 7f novice stakes. Tough task despite falling mark.
Beaten a total of one horse home in three starts so far at up to a mile. Makes handicap bow off plater's mark and with first-time blinkers applied. Needs to turn over a new leaf if he is to make any show.
Forecasts
Hydroplane (6/5), Hooflepuff (11/4), Broughtons Bear (7/1), Arcadienne (12/1), Chakrii (18/1), Mi Laddo (20/1), Gonbutnotforgotten (28/1), Don Diego Vega (40/1), Rock Up In Style (50/1), Milistorm (100/1)
Hydroplane will be a warm order to follow up her Salisbury win four days ago under her 6lb penlaty but it is no formality despite the great record of her handler with this type of handicapper. HOOFLEPUFF receives 13lb from the top weight and could improve now moving up in distance on debut for his fine yard. He was keepng on well enough in his last two starts over a mile. Arcadienne will be worth plenty at the paddocks if she can land a race and it's possible we haven't seen the best of her yet, and Broughtons Bear is a potential improver on handicap debut moving up three furlongs in distance.
- Hooflepuff
- Hydroplane
- Arcadienne
