Veteran who has been in good form since returning to action in April. Third of six beaten 20L on latest start at Punchestown last month but capable of another bold bid in this contest.
Well held six-race maiden over hurdles, pulled up when tailed off on his two most recent starts and first time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
Posted a hurdling best effort when finishing second of 20 beaten 3L in a Down Royal handicap last month. Both winner and third from that race have run well in defeat since suggesting the gelding can go well here.
Eight-race maiden over hurdles, the Sir Percy gelding has appeared a little overwhelmed in recent performances and first time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of progression needed to land a blow.
Hints of improvement when fifth of 11 on his most recent start over a similar trip at this venue last month but makes little appeal on overall form.
Has failed to hit the frame in six hurdle starts to date. Not the most straight forward of sorts when attempting to duck out at the second flight and unseating rider here last month. May find this a tough assignment.
Modest form in two point-to-point prior to a number of heavy maiden hurdle defeats since February. Unlikely to be playing a part in the finish.
Something appears to have gone amiss since the mare produced a couple of creditable efforts last summer. Not in the form required to play a leading role in this contest.
Nothing of note when failing to hit the frame in eight hurdle starts to date. Others more appealing on the balance of a couple of sorties last month.
13-race maiden over hurdles who ran close to a career best when finishing third of 16 beaten 6L behind Cailean's Angel at the recent Bellewstown meeting. Capable of a big run.
Without success in 17-starts over hurdles and while not being disgraced in a good number of them, the manner and distance of defeats remain a concern. Difficult to see where improvement is coming from at her age.
Yet to place in four maiden hurdle efforts to date beaten over 27L on each occasion. Very little to be positive about coming in to this contest.
Not disgraced in her last three starts and even a slight improvement should see the daughter of Canford Cliffs in the hunt for more prize money.
Well held and never nearer in a number of Flat and hurdle starts since March. Minimal impact made in all of those runs and very hard to recommend.
Forecasts
Peaches And Cream (5/4), Bard Of Armagh (9/2), Bellgrove (8/1), Santa Anna (9/1), Major Fawcett (12/1), Greenandwhitearmy (14/1), Rising (16/1), Rio De Cerisy (20/1), Sinndar Sandy (25/1), Arizengo (25/1), Novel Character (25/1), Myladyrose (33/1), Elusive Intrusive (33/1), Nevada Rose (40/1)
PEACHES AND CREAM for the in form Gavin Cromwell yard can get off the mark for connections at the seventh time of asking over hurdles. The four-year-old can build on a fine second of 20 at Down Royal last month, a race that has seen the first and third run well once again. The Caroline McCaldin-trained, Santa Anna and the Tony Martin representative Bard Of Armagh appear to be the biggest dangers while the veteran Bellgrove can once again give a good account of himself.
- Peaches And Cream
- Santa Anna
- Bard Of Armagh
