Good second over 7f on the AW at Newcastle on seasonal debut in April but failed to replicate that form in three subsequent starts. Blinkers tried for the first time.
Completed a double when winning on heavy ground over this trip at Haydock last month. Well held in Listed company at Carlisle (7f, good-to-firm) subsequently and is interesting back in handicaps.
C&D winner on good-to-firm ground at the end of May and shown respectable form in two subsequent starts. Worth a check in the market off a mark 2lb higher than for that C&D success.
Recorded a second career success when winning over this trip at Thirsk (good-to-firm) earlier this month. Raised 5lb for that success and hails from a yard with a 20% strike-rate (8/40) in recent weeks.
Placed on three of his last four starts including when beaten ½L over C&D on good-to-firm a week ago. Notable runner racing off the same mark in this contest.
Successful by a neck over this trip on good-to-firm going at Carlisle in May. Respectable efforts twice subsequently and is worth a check in the market with blinkers tried for the first time.
Dual novice winner on the AW at Newcastle including by a nose over this trip at the start of January. Interesting to see how he fares on turf and handicap debut following a break.
Ran well for a long way when fourth in a 7f handicap at Haydock (good-to-firm) last time out. Races off the same mark here and is likely to race prominently.
Forecasts
Esprit De Corps (7/2), Ramesses (9/2), Inner Circle (9/2), Tommy G (13/2), Astrologer (7/1), Dutch Pursuit (7/1), Glengarry (9/1), Howzer Black (11/1)
INNER CIRCLE represents a yard in good form at present and he can follow-up his recent Thirsk victory by taking this 7f handicap event. The selection can get the better of his rivals here with Esprit De Corps who has been running well in defeat in recent times taken to claim second while Astrologer can put a below par effort last time out behind her to claim third.
