Just lost out at Ffos Las penultimate start then held at last here recently when blundered and finished third. 4lb higher than last win, at Sedgefield in November.
Put in solid efforts on last two starts but ideally suited by some give underfoot so any rain would help his cause. Yard going along nicely at present so has to come into the reckoning.
Ex-Irish hurdler/chaser who was absent 21 months prior to debut for current yard at Southwell Southwell last month and ran well to be fourth over 2m4f. Should be straighter for that and decent chance off 2lb lower mark.
Represents last year's winning trainer-jockey combination. Won twice over 1m2f in Germany for previous handler but yet to win for current connections and has under gone two wind operations. Beaten long way on Flat and over hurdles last two runs.
Modest form all five starts under Rules including last two outings over 2m4f. Drops back half mile for handicap bow but needs to raise her game to land the spoils.
Won 1m6f on Flat for Ralph Beckett but has been disappointing to date over hurdles for current yard. Faded from 3 out over 2m4f here last time on handicap debut and has been eased 4lb. Good local yard always dangerous thoug so worth market check.
Maiden point-to-pointer who has shown little for both Charlie Longsdon and current handler under Rules. Dropped 7lb after pulling up when tailed off at Cartmel two weeks ago and makes little appeal.
Stable companion of Little Stevie. Only win in 28 starts came over 2m6f at Kelso in 2017 and hasn't run well enough in two starts since returning from spring break to suggest she's a contender.
Decent three-time Flat winner at up to 1m2f for Andrew Balding has fallen well short of expectations over hurdles for current yard. Beaten far enough last time off lowly mark here in April and would be a surprise winner.
Two AW Flat wins to his name at up to two miles but has yet to strike over timber in 14 attempts in which he hasn't achieved a single place. Pulled up over three miles here last time and cannot be recommended.

Forecasts
Dance Of Fire (7/2), Outcrop (4/1), Reivers Lodge (9/2), Think Ahead (9/2), Promise Of Peace (7/1), Little Stevie (8/1), Beautiful Ben (9/1), Mrs Davies (12/1), Gripper (14/1), Byronegetonefree (22/1), Some Ambition (80/1)
BEAUTIFUL BEN ran well last time after a long lay-off and as long as he doesn't 'bounce' he has as good a chance as any of winning this modest event. Top weight Little Stevie is a danger if at his best with his yard in fair form of late, while Think Ahead comes into the reckoning, especially if there's a drop or two of rain to ease the ground. Gripper and Outcrop are others in with a squeak.
- Beautiful Ben
- Think Ahead
- Little Stevie
