Irish raider who has run respectably on both previous visits to this track. Out of form prior to better effort in fair race at Wexford last week so may not be far away if building on that.

Landed novice handicap chase over nearly three miles at Kelso in May off 3lb lower mark, and ran well for a long way at Market Rasen until outpaced from last over 2m5f last time. Drop in trip not obvious move but seems in good shape at present.

Last chase success came off mark of 134 at Aintree in December 2017. 19lb lower now but has failed so far to take advantage of falling mark and may find one or two too good once again.

Cosily won Downpatrick handicap chase in June but seemed anchored by 11lb rise when third at Hexham latest. Runs off same mark and good conditional's 5lb claims certainly will help the cause.

Won twice over C&D last summer but remains 8lb higher than the latter success. head second off 1lb lower mark in May and bounced back from poor run to finish second again off this mark here last time. Likes to race prominently.

Betting

Forecast

Boy's On Tour (2/1), Cake de L'Isle (11/4), I'm An Izz Wizz (7/2), Play The Ace (4/1), Fenlon's Hill (9/1)

Verdict

The booking of Brian Hughes catches the eye for top weight FENLON'S HILL who ran a decent race last time in Ireland and could have things go his way with his top rider on board. In receipt of 13lb Boy's On Tour should push the selection hard and has every chance, and I'm An Izz Wizz has also been in good nick of late and is entitled to respect.
  1. Fenlon's Hill
  2. Boy's On Tour
