Long time between drinks, his last success coming over 2m in December 2016. Close third here penultimate start last month at this trip but steps up a mile now and stamina has to be taken a concern.
Trying a new trip having failed to score in 12 attempts over timber at up to 2m6f. Ran poorly last time at Cartmel in May and returns follow near seven-week rest. In-form jockey always respected.
Only two wins came in early 2016 at up to 2m3f. Form has deteriorated since leaving Henry Daly to join current yard in November and is hard to fancy on what we've seen this term.
First win since joining current yard in March came last time over C&D where made all and won with a bit to spare. 6lb higher now but should still give a bold sight.
Won Hexham 2m juvenile hurdle back in 2017 but uncertain this step up in trip is what is needed to return him to winning ways. Beaten a long way at Hexham last time on first start back from a break and has been eased 2lb.
Twice won over 2m6f at Cartmel but has failed to score anywhere else and has given impression she struggles to see out three miles on previous attempts. Solid runner-up at Aintree 2m4f last time off this mark.
Won three times in 2017; twice at this trip including over C&D. Lightly raced last two seasons and was well beaten here in May on first start for three months. 5lb lower now and not out of it if she's back to her best.
Difficult horse to win with as 1-33 record indicates, but ran well enough last time when second over C&D off this mark. Usually there or thereabouts and has solid each-way claims once again.
Has won here over hurdles and fences but ran poorly on second start for current trainer when pulled up here last time out in a handicap chase. Potentially well handicapped though on second at Musselburgh in January off 9lb higher mark.
Threw in a rare poor run here last time at a very happy hunting ground for him over the yeras. Asked to go an extra half mile here though and has never won at this distance before so others are preferred.
Lightly raced and yet to win in nine starts so far. Has run poorly last three starts and duly dropped 8lb. Has a squeak if returning to previous placed form here last summer.

General Allenby (11/4), Green Zone (5/1), River Icon (5/1), Always Tipsy (15/2), Putting Green (10/1), Ebony Rose (10/1), Napoleon Blue (10/1), Sleepy Haven (12/1), Rainy City (12/1), Will O'The West (14/1), Simply Mani (25/1), Something Brewing (33/1)
This is a very open event with narrow preference being for EBONY ROSE, forgiven her latest modest effort on her first start back from a break and given a sporting chance at anticipated decent odds. On previous form she has every chance at these weights. Always Tipsy could give the selection something to think about after winning well last time, and Rainy City is another who has claims if bouncing back to his best form. Green Zone loves it here but is a doubtful stayer, a comment that also applies to both River Icon and Sleepy Haven.
- Ebony Rose
- Always Tipsy
- Rainy City
