Scored for the first time this season on his previous start at Windsor (1m3½f) where he was given a patient ride before making his charge with 2f to go. Up just 2lb for his success which gives him a good chance of following up.
Very consistent gelding who has been in the frame in every one of his last nine starts. Was third of 12 last time at Bath (1m5f) where he was only beaten by ½l. Remains off the same mark today so he has a big chance.
Still a maiden after five starts but has shown some promise in those appearances. Was third of 10 last time at Sandown, beaten by just 1¾l. First run since September so he may just need it but he does look off a lenient mark now.
Broke his maiden after four attempts last time at Leicester over this distance on his handicap debut where he made virtually all of the running. Has gone up 5lb for his win but he still could be off a winnable mark. Leading player.
Still a maiden after 19 races. Her last two runs have come over hurdles, including latest at Fontwell (2m1½f) where she was second of six. Needs to prove herself on the Flat again. Others preferred.
Yet to hit the frame so far in three starts. Was fourth of seven last time at Haydock (1m4f). Making his handicap debut today and the yard have to be respected. Keep an eye out for any market confidence behind him.
Forecasts
Singing The Blues (2/1), Geomatrician (9/4), Global Falcon (7/2), El Borracho (7/1), Birthright (8/1), Yamuna River (33/1)
GLOBAL FALCON appreciated his handicap debut last time at Leicester where he made all to get off the mark. The 5lb rise in the weights may not be enough to stop him going in again. Singing The Blues has had a fantastic campaign so far and given he is off the same mark as his close third place finish at Bath last time, he should be in the frame again, while El Borracho has only gone up 2lb for his latest win which makes him every dangerous again.
