Third in Grade 1 Melling Chase at Aintree last year but has really struggled since then and pulled up there penultmate start off 2lb higher mark. Fair pipe-opener after break over timber here last time and rider's 7lb claim helps the cause.
Battled home by a neck from San Satiro (reopposes here) over C&D lst time and is only 1lb worse off with that rival. Raised 3lb and this looks stronger race but is in good heart and should be thereabouts once again.
Wide margin winner at Fontwell in December in soft ground beating two rivals. Raised 6lb and returns after seven-month absence. Market may indicate how much is expected of him with champion on board.
Took advantage off drop in his mark by winning nicely at Southwell last time. Back up 4lb but every chance he will give another good account of himself.
Stable companion of Sizing Granite. Back to form with two wins of late at Ffos Las over 3m and despite a 7lb rise following latest success comes into the reckoning on his hat-trick bid with top conditional claiming valuable 3lb back.
Twice a win here in past over shorter but hasn't hit the target since scoring here back in May 2017 off 15lb higher mark. Appears on the downgrade and ran moderately last two starts, albeit in decent company.
In good form last autumn with wins at Perth and Ludlow but form tailed off badly and was pulled up last two starts. Eased 2lb and has gone well fresh in past but has a bit to prove at present.
Has little to find on close second to Allelu Alleluia last time but isn't the easiest of rides and hasn't scored for over two years. Blinkers back on in bid to persuade him to put his best foot forward.
