Has good 10-34 career strike rate. Off the mark on third start over fences when winning at Cartmel over this trip last time, scoring with a bit to spare. Sure to go well again on that evidence.

Represents last year's winning trainer. Decent hurdler who won over fences at Ffos Las in May over 3m and appeared on way to C&D win time in novices handicap before bad error at last cost him the spoils. BIg chance of gaining compensation.

Yet to reach a place in 12 starts over hurdles and rated miles behind his two rivals using that yardstick. Very hard to see fences making enough of a difference for him to be competitive.

Pingshou (8/15), Ennistown (11/8), Candyman Can (66/1)

Verdict

PINGSHOU is unlucky not to be on a hat-trick as he appeared poised to win over C&D last time before a bad mistake at the last cost him victory. Hails from last year's winning stable and may come out on top in what should be a good battle with Ennistown who won in good style last time and only has a few pounds to find with the selection on their hurdles form. Candyman Can surely can't - unless the other two fail to complete.
