Useful hurdler whose best effort over fences saw him finish third of 6 to Top Ville Ben in a novice at Hexham in November for Sue Smith. Ran well over hurdles on debut for in-form new yard at Bellewstown, and should be competitive now.

Has not shown a great deal of dash over obstacles so far, and beaten a long way on his chase debut at Clonmel last month. Looks one for the longer term if anything.

Best recent effort over hurdles when fourth of 9 at Tramore (2m5f) last month. Failed to match that form next time, and has work to do on balance now tackling the larger obstacles.

Now 0-27 since joining current yard. Plenty of placed efforts on the Flat and over hurdles to his name, but patchy efforts of late, and not an obvious candidate for chasing.

Point winner whose sole win under Rules came in a 2m handicap hurdle at Naas in February. Best effort over fences when third in a similar event at Kilbeggan in May, but again finished weakly having held every chance last time, and vulnerable again.

Won over hurdles at Ayr in April, and similar form over fences, finishing clear of Eviscerating when second at Kilbeggan, and matching that form and position at Clonmel last time. Solid claims on form, and sure to go well again.

Best effort in this discipline when 1¼L second of 9 to Megalomaniac in a 2m5f maiden at Tramore in May. Just a fair effort at Wexford last time, and needs to raise his game to take a hand.

Ran badly on debut for current yard over hurdles, and fared no better switched to fences at Wexford last time, beating just one rival in a big field. No appeal.

Consistent in handicap hurdles at a modest level, winning at Punchestown in October. Probably needed the run when well held on chase debut, but makes limited appeal, at least until handicapping in new sphere.

Well held on chase debut in a warm hunter chase at Cork on yard debut in April, but has run with credit in points, including a defeat of Kruzhlinin since, so not without hope back under Rules.

Not quite matched his hurdles form in new discipline after five starts, but has found his level, and place claims with a repeat of latest effort, when fourth of 9 to Barna Venture on handicap debut at Punchestown.

In contention when unseating at the last at Kilbeggan in May, but he's had plenty of chances over fences, and likely to need a couple to underperform if he's to register a belated success.

Below form on his last two starts over hurdles several months apart, and well-beaten fifth of 9 to Cooldine Bog in a maiden at Ballinrobe on chasing debut. Surprise to see him figure here.

Ran creditably in a handicap hurdle at Leopardstown in December, and was matching that form when winning at Clonmel in May. Yard's horses often improve for fences, and this gelding merits respect on that basis.

Lightly raced since winning a juvenile hurdle on sole start in France. In the frame on all five starts over fences for current yard, and the strict form choice for all she is a little more exposed than some.

Best recent hurdles effort when winning a 2½m handicap hurdle at Punchestown in February, but ran poorly at Navan in March when last seen. Placed in point-to-points, so could be competitive sent chasing now, but needs to find her best form.

Verdict

Mega Mindy is the one to beat on form, and she's pretty consistent, but on the other hand, she doesn't have any scope for improvement and hasn't won since leaving France as a juvenile, so a chance is taken on VISIOMAN. Henry de Bromhead's horses often improve for a sight of fences, and he bolstered his confidence with a cosy hurdles win last time. From Eden is a reliable sort with two solid efforts from as many runs over fences and is the other to consider.
