Still a maiden after seven races but went very close to that opening success at Thurles (2m6½f) last November when second of six, beaten ½l. Back to maiden company after handicap bid last time. Cheekpieces on for first time. Each-way chance.

Failed to hit the frame in three bumper attempts and has gone no closer in his two starts over hurdles since then. Was beaten 30l last time at Punchestown (2m4f) when sixth of 24. Up in trip but others look to have a better chance.

Was successful in a point-to-point at Ballingarry (3m) two starts back. Made his debut over hurdles under Rules last time at Kilbeggan (3m1f) where he was last of four. Something to prove here.

Was 14th of 23 on his debut over hurdles at Naas (2m) back in February when going off at 66/1. Making a sizeable step up in trip today. Will need to show a lot more than his opening outing.
5

25/1
Making his hurdles debut today after two runs over fences. He was fourth of 13 in a modest run last time at Listowel (3m). Is a point-to-point winner but has something to prove over hurdles under Rules.

Has failed to finish in five starts in point-to-point action. Was pulled-up last time in a 3m contest at Ballingarry, while the start before he fell at Inchydoney (3m). Very difficult to make any kind of case for.

Was a winner on his debut in a point-to-point at Tallow (3m) in 2017. Has hit the frame on his last two starts under Rules, including latest when second of 10 over this C&D. One to consider.

Has shown some promise in two of his four hurdles starts so far, including when second of 19 at Fairyhouse (2m). Was pulled-up last time at Limerick in a 16 runner field over 2m6f. Needs to bounce back.

Showed very little in his two bumper runs to suggest he could have an immediate impact over hurdles. On his previous start he was beaten 9l when fifth of 18 over the extended 2m at Punchestown. Big step up in trip and hood on for first time.

33/1
Won a bumper on just his third start at Limerick (2m) but has failed to transfer that form across to hurdles or fences. Was pulled-up last time at Navan in a nine runner field over 2m7f. Needs to improve.

4/5
Was impressive on her debut in a bumper last month at Tramore (2m) where she justified favouritism to score by 2¼l. Likely to build upon her success here as her yard are in great form. One to beat.
13

100/1
Lightly-raced mare who has yet to score in four attempts over rules. She was 17th of 24 on her sole run over hurdles last August at Cork (2m). Very difficult to make a case for on the evidence of what we have seen so far.

Forecasts

Savina (4/5), Sky Marshal (5/2), Santana Plessis (3/1), Robin The Hare (7/1), An Fearchan (16/1), Dashing Major (16/1), Baily Thunder (20/1), Exit Eleven (25/1), Stormy Master (25/1), The Sneaky Punter (33/1), Bunninadden (66/1), Jimmys Delight (66/1), Shesakeeper (100/1)

Verdict

SAVINA was victorious on her debut in a bumper at Tramore where she looked a very smart prospect. She should be able to follow that up on her opening run over hurdles. Her yard are flying at the moment and they are likely to have more success here. Santana Plessis has been really expensive to follow so far in his career but he may find an improvement from this step up in trip so expect him to be fighting it out at the finish, while Sky Marshal shouldn't be written off just yet despite a disappointing run at Limerick last time where he was pulled-up.
