Did not finish in his two point-to-point starts over 3m and then dropped down in trip to 2m for his rules debut at Wexford where he was 12th of 13, beaten 103l. Tongie-tie on for first time. Very difficult to make a case for.
Was a maiden on the Flat after seven races but he went close on his latest attempt in what was his first run for his new yard where he was second of seven at Bellewstown (1m4f), beaten by just 1l. One to watch.
Has some promising form in point-to-points, with the pick of his runs being when second of five at Ballingarry (3m). Made his rules debut last time where he unseated his rider at Wexford (2m4f) at the third hurdle. Shouldn't be ignored here.
Has had three runs over hurdles since switching yards earlier this year. Was slightly better last time when sixth of 23 at Naas (2m), but still 30l behind the winner. More needed on what he has shown so far. Others preferred.
She looked certain to score on her debut in a point-to-point at Borris House (3m) on her debut but fell at the last obstacle when 6l clear. Considerable step down in trip on her rules debut which makes her interesting. One for shortlist.
Has had just the one run so far which came in a point-to-point contest over 3m at Dromahane where he did not stay and was pulled-up before the third last hurdle. Dropping down in trip but it would be a surprise if he finished in the mix.
Was a very impressive winner in a bumper at Ballinrobe two starts back over the extended 2m1f distance. Stepped up in trip last time at Listowel (2m4f) where it didn't quite suit him. One to beat here if he is comfortable over hurdles.
Asian Heights gelding who is making his debut today. His dam raced at 3m throughout her point-t0-point career without victory. Market vibes don't point to an immediate success.
Made his debut in a point-to-point at Tralee point-to-point course back in May over 3m where he was always at the rear before being pulled-up before the final third last hurdle. Stepping down in trip today. Not easy to make a case for.
Won on three occasions on the AW on the Flat where he is very experienced. Has struggled to transfer that form across to hurdles on his two starts over obstacles so far. Was last of 12 last time at Limerick (2m). Needs to improve to have any chance.
Lightly-raced gelding who has had just the three runs on the Flat so far where he has yet to hit the frame. Was last of 17 on his previous start at this track on the Flat course when going off at 100/1. Tongue-tie on for first time. One to avoid.
Court Cave gelding who is making his debut today. His dam won a bumper at over 2m4f but raced only once over hurdles without success. Others look more appealing.
Has had the three runs over hurdles but has not been competitive in either of those, with his latest attempt coming at Naas (2m3f) when finishing ninth of 20 after going off at 100/1. Needs to find a lot of improvement to be in the fold here.
Won twice on the Flat where he was rated as high as 82 following success at Lingfield (1m2f). Was third of 12 last time at Windsor (1m2f). First run for new yard where he is very interesting on his hurdles debut. One for shortlist.
Has had two runs in point-to-point races so far. She looked to be well-beaten last time at Liscarroll (3m) when running-out of the track. Stepping in trip today on her rules debut. Hard to fancy.
Failed to impress in two bumper runs last season and there was no improvement on her hurdles debut at Ballinrobe over the extended 2m trip last time when 11th of 14. One to avoid.
Has not improved over hurdles in her two attempts so far. She was eighth of 11 on her previous start at Wexford (2m) where she was beaten by 40l. A huge improvement is needed to have a chance here today.
Was successful in a point-to-point at Largy (3m) last year. Made her rules debut at Down Royal over the extended 2m trip last time but she was a long way behind in 17th place of 19. She has to show a lot more. Others preferred.
Forecasts
Golazo (5/4), Turnpike Trip (5/2), Florrie Webb (3/1), Born By The Sea (6/1), Circling Moon (16/1), Table The Motion (20/1), Rockford Cave (33/1), Clear Left (50/1), Get A Price (66/1), Boro Melody (66/1), Mambo Dancer (66/1), Blanketontheground (100/1), Bridget Cottage (100/1), Corus Girl (100/1), Military Poet (100/1), Kingofthemountain (100/1), Jakerz (100/1), Blow By Ruben (100/1)
GOLAZO was a very easy winner in a bumper two starts back which suggests he is set for a good future. He didn't stay the 2m4f trip last time so the drop in trip is a big positive. He is open to improvement so he is the one they all have to beat. Florrie Webb would have won on her debut in a point-to-point if it wasn't for her error at the last when falling, she can't be ignored here, albeit this is now under rules, while Turnpike Trip can be in the mix if he transfers his form from the Flat to hurdles.
- Golazo
- Florrie Webb
- Turnpike Trip
