Sold for 500,000 euros at the Goffs sale in September 2018 after winning Group 3 and Listed events at this track (including this event). Not at her best on her latest run in a Group 2 contest at The Curragh latest but should be fitter here.

Lightly-raced filly; Ran with credit at Cork on her latest start in a Group 3 contest, shaping that day as she needed further. Rarely runs a bad race and this step in trip could be the making of her. Interesting sort who warrants further inspection.

Tough and consistent mare; failed to land a five timer when beaten at Haydock in a Group 3 latest; The ground that day was perhaps a little too heavy for her liking but conversely she would not want the ground to fast here. Stays this trip well.

Penny finally dropped when she won her maiden at Gowran Park in June but disappointed in an Oaks trial later that month. Has a bit to prove but respected from stable and likely to find a few better rivals.

Ran well for a long way in Group 2 contest at Royal Ascot (1m4f) having previously shown ability when placed in a Group 3 event at Cork. Likely front runner and may benefit from a step up in trip. Interesting.

Finally broke her maiden tag at the fifth time of asking when scoring well over a mile at Naas late last month. Huge step up in trip and grade are question marks but hard to write off from powerful stable.

Convincing winner of a Bellewstown maiden earlier this month by nine lengths. Did not look the easiest ride that day but showed plenty of promise and may be one to improve in better company.

Verdict

A race dominated by Aiden O'Brien who fields half the runners but the contest could go to the more experienced filly CIMEARA who needs to start justifying her huge September 2018 price tag. She is dual course and distance winner and warmed up for this contest with a recent outing at The Curragh and is one of the few with proven ability on the expected fast conditions. Peach Tree might prove the best of the O'Brien fillies, she ran well at Royal Ascot before weakening close home and if her jockey can dominate from the front, she should hold every chance. South Sea Pearl is another who could come into the reckoning and looks certain to be suited by a stronger pace.
  1. Cimeara
  2. Peach Tree
  3. South Sea Pearl
