C&D winner in good style aided by an ease in grade having slipped to a good mark recently (suited by coming off a strong pace). Couldn't quite get going in the same manner when attempting to follow up under a penalty; story may be the same here.

Shed her maiden tag on handicap debut appreciating the sound underfoot conditions at Nottingham (6f) off a 5lb lower mark. Not quite able to repeat the trick last time again over 6f (looked capable off this mark); has to cope with a first try at 5f.

On a losing streak that continues to grow despite some recent effort at Brighton that suggest this C&D winner is capable of winning something like this. Dips 4lb below his last winning mark; may still face rivalry for the lead even in a small field.

Rose Hip (11/10), Big Lachie (6/4), Crystal Deauville (7/2), Glamorous Rocket (7/1)

Verdict

The one element of races that BIG LACHIE requires is pace to run at and even in this small field he could get that with both Glamorous Rocket and Crystal Deauville looking as though they will go forward. The latter of the pace duo competes off a dangerous mark now so if he were to get a clear lead he could be hard to reel in. Mark Loughnane’s dual C&D winner is in good form and it’s hoped that he gets going in time to record another victory at a venue he loves. Rose Hip tries this trip for the first time and while she remains of interest off this mark the trip could be a little too sharp.
