Returns from an absence having looked laboured and slightly temperamental when last seen; had won a couple of low-grade handicaps prior to that off lower marks. Rider has won on him before (claims a useful 7lb), may need others to falter.
Returns to hurdles and it may well be a welcome one having not really gone on from a winning chasing debut last December continuing to disappoint. Yet to win over hurdles but features off a workable mark if this return sparks a revival.
In good form of late having shown improved form to win at Market Rasen off a break off a 6lb lower mark. Shown that he can cope with higher marks since with two very sound performances; cheekpieces (first-time) now join a hood, shortlist material.
Looked to be finding it hard to win prior to a wind op which then looked to be the catalyst for an improved performance here last time (made all under a good ride). Up 7lb for that win and may need to find more again but must enter calculations.
Unreliable sort with a few quirks who makes her debut for this yard but has yet to register a success under Rules. Doubts remain over the suitability of this trip (may stretch her stamina); best watched for now with doubts surrounding her.
The shorter 2m4f trip at Ffos Las didn't really suit him last time having come into that race looking well handicapped on his two previous starts. His last win came here over shorter and over this trip off his sort of mark he's clearly of interest.
Appears to have rather lost his way over fences failing to finish in two of his last three starts (finished last in the other one). Thrown in on his last winning chase mark returning to hurdles, he hasn't given much encouragement of late though.
Course winner who stepped up on his recent third over fences to score in the same sphere at Cartmel (took advantage of a much-reduced mark) staying 2m5f well. 6lb higher here back over hurdles and can't be ruled out of this.
Has had the look of a long-term project over hurdles which may be coming to fruition with a third last time at Market Rasen being a career-best so far. Did well in the circumstances there; no surprise to see him involved here off a competitive mark.
Dual C&D winner who blows hot and cold but was very warm when springing back to life for his latest C&D win last month (well supported). Unsurprisingly failed to repeat the effort last time at Southwell; limited appeal from 3lb out of the weights.

Mrs Miggins (7/2), Oscar Maguire (4/1), Farmer Boy (4/1), Sinakar (5/1), Polished Rock (7/1), Get An Oscar (8/1), Todd (10/1), Ever So Much (12/1), Simply Lucky (14/1), Kilkeaskin Molly (16/1), Amber Gambler (18/1), Well Smitten (40/1)
A competitive event for the grade although a few of these will want a decent gallop to see them at their best and the it’s the recent form of FARMER BOY that attracts the most from the capable Nigel Hawke yard. His last time out second reads well in the context of this and this strong travelling sort should get the run of things. Both Sinnakar and Oscar Maguire are lurking towards the foot of the weights and that pair look the main dangers having both shown up well last time out with a test of stamina ideal for both. Mrs Miggins may find this a harder field to dominate off a 7lb higher mark while Ever So Much is another entry into the mix switching back to hurdles.
- Farmer Boy
- Sinakar
- Oscar Maguire
